The Scout  is designed for a powerful, rotational throw. It rewards this athletic technique with a thrilling combination of impressive speed and flight distance. This boomerang flies low to the ground—in the 3- to 5-meter range—before returning quickly and sideways to the thrower. This makes for an exciting catch that requires fast reflexes. It’s a truly exhilarating experience for athletic beginners and boomerang enthusiasts alike.
Performance factors
Wind resistance: 3

All our models allow precise landings even in still conditions, though less wind is always better, with some models being more wind-resistant. Higher wind resistance means recommended for windy environments like beaches.
Throw power: 3

The farther they fly, the harder the throw needed, so we recommend up to 20 m for beginners or kids. Stronger rotation ensures more stable flight, and if you can glide a Frisbee 20 m, you can throw any of our models. The “Cloudcatcher” for example requires the least effort and is recommended from age 6.
Flight range: 3

Longer flight range makes precise landings harder but more spectacular. Each model’s range is fixed: if thrown too short it won’t return, and even with maximum force it won’t exceed its rated distance.

Christian Kliem, founder of Berliner Bumerang, unites his background in wood technology and pedagogy to craft the world’s finest handmade boomerangs. For over 20 years he has led experiential workshops, while each model is hand-finished, flight-tested, and created with care in his Berlin workshop alongside his team and family.
